Ships passing the picture window

I watched four ships pass by while I sat in the armchairs facing the picture window with the lights out. Each morning Lusia served homemade muesli, sourdough toast, and a plate of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and tomato in the kitchen. My ground-floor room featured a large bathroom with both a shower and a separate bathtub.
